Potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) adds less potassium (K) and more phosphate (PO4) to aquarium water. Phosphate is credited with a major role in controlling green algae. Dosage based on the Estimated Index (EI) method developed by Tom Barr. The description of the method in Hungarian can be found here , and a complex Excel calculator to help you calculate your dosage here .
By adding the right amount of ingredients, you can virtually rule out (!) a nutrient deficiency symptom in plants and associated algae growth. (Note: Algae growth isn't the only cause of plant nutritional deficiency.) For those averse to "chemistry," we recommend Green Aqua Liquid Fertilizer made from dry plant foods. Potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) is supplied in a resealable plastic box which protects the powder from moisture and other damage.
