Freshwater mollusc belonging to the Neritidae family. It is a small snail that measures about 2 cm long and is characterized by its black shell and its ear-shaped antennae, hence its name. The Neritina auriculata is native to Africa and Asia, and it is found in the shallow waters of rivers and lakes

Neritina / Vittina are big eaters of green and brown algae films that grow on glasses and decoration. They also accept fish food (flakes, tablets).
