The new GlasGarten crusty caves are edible tubes/caves and therefore food and a hiding place at the same time

Edible Crispy Caves contain essential natural fibers while promoting the development of a biofilm on their surface. Especially for animals that like to graze on surfaces, such as shrimp, snails and catfish, fiber is an important part of their diet and is necessary for digestion.

Crust caves consist largely of wood fibers (cellulose), clay and leaves, which are usually found in the natural habitats of animals and are ingested in large numbers. Nutrients such as algae and bacteria are consumed along with these fibers, which deposit as a biofilm on surfaces and form the basis of nutrition.

Crispy Caves are therefore the perfect addition to a regular diet with staple foods, they remain dimensionally stable in water and the nutrients must be actively grated with the roughage, which corresponds to the natural feeding behavior of the animals. Small animals can enter the cave and eat in peace from inside the cave wall.

Feeding recommendation:

Size S : Depending on the number of animals, 1 to max. 3 caves for 30 liters of aquarium water. Add new caves at the earliest when the previous ones have been mostly eaten.
Size M : Depending on the number of animals, 1 to max. 3 caves for 60 liters of aquarium water. Add new caves at the earliest when the previous ones have been mostly eaten.
