Coconut blossoms (Cocos nucifera) can be used in an aquarium as a natural decoration or as hiding places for fish.
Some aquarists also use coconut leaves to provide a more natural environment for fish and to encourage breeding behavior.
It is important to note that the coconut leaves will eventually break down and will need to be replaced. As they break down, they can also release tannins which can color the water and lower the pH of the aquarium.
It is also important to make sure the leaves are clean before putting them in the aquarium.
REMARKS: before any use of natural products , it is preferable to let them drain for several days in water outside the aquarium, or even boil them for a few minutes.
